Compassionate & Zealous Legal Representation

Get Started - Court Buddy

How to Get Started

Greetings. I look forward to working with you in your case.

It was nice speaking with you today. Please find all of my contact information and instructions on how to get started below.

About Attorney Donald C. Nemec

I have been practicing law in Texas for over eleven years. I know the law, most of the judges, and many of the other attorneys in Tarrant, Dallas, Johnson, Parker, Denton, and other outlying counties. You will be in good hands.

How I offer low retainer deposits

I occasionally contract a paralegal to assist with some document drafting, but do most of my administrative duties on my own. This saves money in overhead expenses and allows me to offer these high quality legal services without the $2,000 - $3,000 retainer fees demanded from most other firms. My office space does not have a room to meet for consultations. Therefore, I typically hold my consultations over the phone or meet clients at the courthouse, a Starbucks, or an office-share consultation room (additional fees usually apply for consultation rooms). This arrangement has worked for hundreds of clients and saves on costs, which is directly passed on to you, the client, through lower retainer deposits.

Flat Rate Per Legal Service Legal Representation in Your Family Law Suit

As discussed, I would be willing to provide legal services in connection with your family law matter on a discounted, flat rate basis since you found me through CourtBuddy. Instead of charging by the minute, at my standard hourly rate of $250, I would agree to assist you with your legal matter on a flat rate fee basis, discounted at least 25-50% off of my normal hourly rate. You will be provided flat rate quote for every legal service to be provided, in advance of such service being provided. Attorney will provide the legal service after you pay.

All payments are due no later than two weeks before such legal services are rendered. If the case goes to a final contested trial, payments for final trial will be due 30 days before final trial.

All court appearances scheduled and lasting less than 2.5 hours will be charged on the following steeply discounted rate (all rates include travel time):

  • Tarrant County: $350.

  • Dallas, Johnson, Parker Counties: $450.

  • Denton, Ellis, Hood, Wise Counties: $500.

  • Collin, Erath, Kaufman, Palo Pinto, Rockwall, Somervell Counties: $600.

For any court appearance scheduled less than 2.5 hours but actually lasting more than 2.5 hours, client is responsible for actual court time exceeding 2.5 hours at the discounted rate of $180/hour, billed in 1/10 hour increments. Such payment is due no later than one week following the court date.

Be advised that since this is a limited scope, pay-as-you-go service with no retainer deposit to secure future attorney availability, you may be required to sign, in advance, a motion and order for withdrawal of attorney to effectuate the withdrawal of the attorney as your attorney of record if the payments are not made on time as agreed.
