Greetings. I look forward to working with you in your case.
It was nice speaking with you today. Please find all of my contact information and instructions on how to get started below.
About Attorney Donald C. Nemec
I have been practicing law in Texas for over eleven years. I know the law, most of the judges, and many of the other attorneys in Tarrant, Dallas, Johnson, Parker, and Denton Counties. You will be in good hands.
How I offer low retainer deposits
I occasionally contract a paralegal to assist with some document drafting, but do most of my administrative duties on my own. This saves money in overhead expenses and allows me to offer these high quality legal services without the $2,000 - $3,000 retainer fees demanded from most other firms. My office space does not have a room to meet for consultations. Therefore, I typically hold my consultations over the phone or meet clients at the courthouse, a Starbucks, or an office-share consultation room (additional fees usually apply for consultation rooms). This arrangement has worked for hundreds of clients and saves on costs, which is directly passed on to you, the client, through lower retainer deposits.
Flat Rate Per Legal Service Legal Representation in Your Family Law Suit
As discussed, I would be willing to provide legal services in connection with your family law matter on a flat-rate-per-legal-service and pay-as-you-go basis, with all flat rate fees based on my standard hourly rate of $250. You may be required to set up automatic bi-weekly or monthly payments to ensure your retainer balance remains sufficient to cover future anticipated legal expenses and all payments are due no later than two weeks before such legal services are rendered. If the case goes to a final contested trial, payments for final trial will be due 30 days before final trial.
I will try to quote you flat rate fees whenever possible to give you an opportunity to know as far in advance as possible the predicted fees for each step of your case.
Initial Payment
I have agreed to get started for an initial retainer deposit of $750, opposed to the standard $2,500-$5,000 that is typically required. As discussed, this payment should cover the consultation, and the first few steps of your case, depending on the compexity of the matter and necessary legal services. During our first phone call, we already discussed how far the $750 will get you into the case. I will provide you detailed quotes for anticipated legal services once you and I hold a formal consultation and can discuss the various options and develop an agreed plan of action.
If we meet in person for our consultation, you can make the payment in cash at the beginning of our meeting. You can also pay online (whether our consultation is over the phone or in person) at www.nemeclaw.com/pay.
If the consultation is held in person, please be advised that you must pay a nonrefundable $200 fee to reserve the time of the appointment no later than 24 hours prior to such consultation time in order to reserve the attorney time on the calendar. The remaining $550 retainer deposit will be due in cash during the consultation meeting. Please pay that $200 fee online at www.nemeclaw.com/pay.
If the consultation is held over the phone, the $750 retainer deposit is due before the consultation begins. Please pay that deposit online at www.nemeclaw.com/pay.
Consultation Meeting Location:
For your convenience, we may hold our consultation over the phone and save you the hassle of coming to me. The meeting will last 30-90 minutes depending on the complexity of your matter. The consultation will be billed at $250 per hour in 1/10th hour increments and will be charged against the $750 deposit.
Please schedule your consultation by clicking the link below.
If you would prefer to meet in person, please email me at dcnemec@nemeclaw.com to notify me. I will reply with the location of our meeting.
